OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The running of a blood bank by blood banks under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the running of a blood bank by blood banks is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997.
2. The matter has been examined. Every blood bank carrying on the running of a blood bank shall make an application in Form 20 to the District Registering Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a blood bank is undertaken, and the District Registering Authority shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
