STANDING ORDER

All Market Secretaries,

Subject: The storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse under the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1959), the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the storage of agricultural produce by licensees of a warehouse.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a warehouse carrying on the storage of agricultural produce shall make an application in Form H to the Market Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Market Secretary shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Market Committee within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Karnataka.
