STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars,

Subject: The publication of textbooks by publishers of textbooks under the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Andhra Pradesh Act 1 of 1982), the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the publication of textbooks by publishers of textbooks.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of textbooks carrying on the publication of textbooks shall make an application in Form A to the Regulatory Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar shall ensure that attendance register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Regulatory Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
