STANDING ORDER

To

All Waqf Officers,

Subject: The conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair under the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987 (Andhra Pradesh Act 30 of 1987), the Revenue Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for a religious fair carrying on the conduct of a religious fair shall make an application in Form E to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within three hundred and sixty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Waqf Officer shall ensure that budget is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Charity Commissioner within three hundred and sixty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
