STANDING ORDER

To

All Chiefs Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad,

Subject: The holding of a fair by licensees of a fair under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (Uttar Pradesh Act 26 of 1947), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a fair by licensees of a fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fair carrying on the holding of a fair shall make an application in Form 8 to the District Collector within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Collector within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
