OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The setting up of a unit by units under the Maharashtra Industrial Development Act, 1962, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the setting up of a unit by units is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Industrial Development Act, 1962.

2. The matter has been examined. Every unit carrying on the setting up of a unit shall make an application in Form SEZ-2 to the Development Commissioner within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the setting up of a unit is undertaken, and the Development Commissioner shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Maharashtra.
