STANDING ORDER

To

All Treasury Officers,

Subject: The receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries under the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements Act, 1999 (Karnataka Act 29 of 1999), the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the receipt and payment of Government moneys by treasuries.

2. The matter has been examined. Every treasury carrying on the receipt and payment of Government moneys shall make an application in Form GFR 25 to the Public Accounts Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Treasury Officer shall ensure that bond is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Public Accounts Committee within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka.
