OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The manufacture of excisable articles by manufacturers under the Haryana Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Agriculture Department, Government of Haryana on the manner in which the manufacture of excisable articles by manufacturers is to be regulated under the Haryana Excise Act, 1914.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of excisable articles shall make an application in Form A to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Haryana.
