OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The irrigation of land from a canal by cultivators of irrigated land under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Water Resources Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the irrigation of land from a canal by cultivators of irrigated land is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of irrigated land carrying on the irrigation of land from a canal shall make an application in Form H to the Irrigation Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the irrigation of land from a canal is undertaken, and the Irrigation Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
