OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The business of a real estate agent by real estate agents under the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Housing Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the business of a real estate agent by real estate agents is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963.

2. The matter has been examined. Every real estate agent carrying on the business of a real estate agent shall make an application in Form H to the Rent Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the business of a real estate agent is undertaken, and the Rent Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Maharashtra.
