OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa on the manner in which the sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land is to be regulated under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 14 to the State Government within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sinking of a well on Government land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
