STANDING ORDER

To

All Sheristadars,

Subject: The examination of documents as an expert by handwriting experts under the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Court Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1955), the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the examination of documents as an expert by handwriting experts.

2. The matter has been examined. Every handwriting expert carrying on the examination of documents as an expert shall make an application in Form A to the Registrar within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Sheristadar shall ensure that summons is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
