STANDING ORDER

To

All Circle Officers,

Subject: The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the Labour Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use by person converting agricultural lands.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person converting agricultural land carrying on the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural use shall make an application in Form 5 to the Settlement Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that holding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Settlement Officer within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
