OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The distribution of liquefied petroleum gas by liquefied petroleum gas distributors under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Environment Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas by liquefied petroleum gas distributors is to be regulated under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every liquefied petroleum gas distributor carrying on the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas shall make an application in Form II to the Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas is undertaken, and the Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Gujarat.
