OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The acceptance of a public honour by grantees of a public honour under the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1985, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the acceptance of a public honour by grantees of a public honour is to be regulated under the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1985.

2. The matter has been examined. Every grantee of a public honour carrying on the acceptance of a public honour shall make an application in Form H to the Review Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the acceptance of a public honour is undertaken, and the Review Committee shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
