STANDING ORDER

To

All Provost Marshals,

Subject: The entry into a defence installation by persons employed in a defence installation under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the entry into a defence installation by persons employed in a defence installation.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person employed in a defence installation carrying on the entry into a defence installation shall make an application in Form E to the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Provost Marshal shall ensure that canteen stock is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
