OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The performance of rituals in a temple by archakas under the Madhya Pradesh Public Trusts Act, 1951, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh on the manner in which the performance of rituals in a temple by archakas is to be regulated under the Madhya Pradesh Public Trusts Act, 1951.

2. The matter has been examined. Every archaka carrying on the performance of rituals in a temple shall make an application in Form C to the Government of Madhya Pradesh within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the performance of rituals in a temple is undertaken, and the Government of Madhya Pradesh shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
