STANDING ORDER
To
All Panchayat Inspectors,
Subject: The plying of a tractor for hire by owners of a tractor plying for hire under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (Uttar Pradesh Act 26 of 1947), the Home Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the plying of a tractor for hire by owners of a tractor plying for hire.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a tractor plying for hire carrying on the plying of a tractor for hire shall make an application in Form 7 to the Block Development Officer within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that ferry is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within twenty-one days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
