OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Ports Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the manner in which the manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit is to be regulated under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of denatured spirit carrying on the manufacture of denatured spirit shall make an application in Form D to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of denatured spirit is undertaken, and the Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
