STANDING ORDER
To
All Health Officers,
Subject: The running of a parking lot by operators of a parking lot under the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1919), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a parking lot by operators of a parking lot.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a parking lot carrying on the running of a parking lot shall make an application in Form C to the Town Vending Committee within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Health Officer shall ensure that street is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
