OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955.
2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 5 to the State Government within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the grazing of cattle on Government waste land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
