OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly is to be regulated under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a place of public assembly carrying on the fire safety of a place of public assembly shall make an application in Form D to the State Authority within three days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the fire safety of a place of public assembly is undertaken, and the State Authority shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Gujarat.
