OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1972.
2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall make an application in Form G to the Commissioner within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the collection of solid waste is undertaken, and the Commissioner shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
