STANDING ORDER
To
All Market Secretaries,
Subject: The keeping of milch cattle by dairy farmers under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969 (Kerala Act 21 of 1969), the Excise Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of milch cattle by dairy farmers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dairy farmer carrying on the keeping of milch cattle shall make an application in Form B to the Director of Agriculture within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. The Market Secretary shall ensure that seed is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Agriculture within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Kerala.
