OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Dealing in excisable articles by dealers under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh on the manner in which dealing in excisable articles by dealers is to be regulated under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer carrying on dealing in excisable articles shall make an application in Form D to the District Excise Officer within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in excisable articles is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
