STANDING ORDER
To
All Revenue Inspectors,
Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Kerala Land Assignment Act, 1960, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Land Assignment Act, 1960 (Kerala Act 30 of 1960), the Revenue Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling.
2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 2 to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that survey number is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within one hundred and twenty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Kerala.
