STANDING ORDER

To

All Sports Officers,

Subject: The conduct of adventure sports by adventure sports operators under the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Public Gambling Act, 1976 (Goa Act 14 of 1976), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of adventure sports by adventure sports operators.

2. The matter has been examined. Every adventure sports operator carrying on the conduct of adventure sports shall make an application in Form G to the Sports Tribunal within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Sports Officer shall ensure that register of athletes is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sports Tribunal within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Goa.
