STANDING ORDER

To

All Probation Officers,

Subject: The employment of women by employers of women under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988 (Andhra Pradesh Act 10 of 1988), the General Administration Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the employment of women by employers of women.

2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of women carrying on the employment of women shall make an application in Form III to the Juvenile Justice Board within three days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Probation Officer shall ensure that institution is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Juvenile Justice Board within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
