STANDING ORDER

To

All Enforcement Officers,

Subject: Service as a conductor by conductors of a stage carriage under the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund Act, 1985 (Kerala Act 21 of 1985), the Transport Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to service as a conductor by conductors of a stage carriage.

2. The matter has been examined. Every conductor of a stage carriage carrying on service as a conductor shall make an application in Form 29 to the Licensing Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Enforcement Officer shall ensure that toll is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Kerala.
