STANDING ORDER

All Circle Officers,

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 (Rajasthan Act 15 of 1956), the Law Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land by landholders.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 5 to the State Government within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that record of rights is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Government within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Rajasthan.
