STANDING ORDER

To

All Superintending Archaeologists,

Subject: Photography at a protected monument by holders of a photography permit under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (Kerala Act 8 of 2005), the Law Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to photography at a protected monument by holders of a photography permit.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of a photography permit carrying on photography at a protected monument shall make an application in Form II to the Government of Kerala within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Superintending Archaeologist shall ensure that antiquity is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Kerala within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Kerala.
