STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Inspectors,

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968 (Andhra Pradesh Act 17 of 1968), the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form H to the District Excise Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Inspector shall ensure that cask is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
