OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The provision of electronic signature services by e-sign service providers under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Act, 2022, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information Technology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the provision of electronic signature services by e-sign service providers is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Act, 2022.
2. The matter has been examined. Every e-sign service provider carrying on the provision of electronic signature services shall make an application in Form C to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the provision of electronic signature services is undertaken, and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
