STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of Births and Deaths,

Subject: The management of the property of a minor by guardians appointed by the court under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Finance Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of the property of a minor by guardians appointed by the court.

2. The matter has been examined. Every guardian appointed by the court carrying on the management of the property of a minor shall make an application in Form I to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Registrar of Births and Deaths shall ensure that order of maintenance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
