OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The ownership of a building by owners of a building under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Law Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the ownership of a building by owners of a building is to be regulated under the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1977.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building carrying on the ownership of a building shall make an application in Form F to the Corporation within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the ownership of a building is undertaken, and the Corporation shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Karnataka.
