OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of stamps by licensed stamp vendors under the Kerala Stamp Act, 1959, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which the sale of stamps by licensed stamp vendors is to be regulated under the Kerala Stamp Act, 1959.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed stamp vendor carrying on the sale of stamps shall make an application in Form H to the Inspector General of Registration within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of stamps is undertaken, and the Inspector General of Registration shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Kerala.
