OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The placement of children for adoption by adoption agencies under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Uttarakhand on the manner in which the placement of children for adoption by adoption agencies is to be regulated under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024.

2. The matter has been examined. Every adoption agency carrying on the placement of children for adoption shall make an application in Form VI to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the placement of children for adoption is undertaken, and the Central Adoption Resource Authority shall dispose of it within ninety days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
