STANDING ORDER

To

All Sub-Registrars,

Subject: The management of a waqf by mutawallis under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Excise Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a waqf by mutawallis.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mutawalli carrying on the management of a waqf shall make an application in Form VIII to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Sub-Registrar shall ensure that certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
