STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspectors of Endowments,

Subject: The conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Karnataka Act 17 of 1960), the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of a religious fair by contractors for a religious fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for a religious fair carrying on the conduct of a religious fair shall make an application in Form G to the Government of Karnataka within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Inspector of Endowments shall ensure that inventory of jewels is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka.
