OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents under the Andhra Pradesh Infrastructure Development Enabling Act, 2001, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the sale of lottery tickets by lottery agents is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Infrastructure Development Enabling Act, 2001.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lottery agent carrying on the sale of lottery tickets shall make an application in Form GFR 19 to the Directorate of Treasuries within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of lottery tickets is undertaken, and the Directorate of Treasuries shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
