STANDING ORDER

To

All Sub-Registrars,

Subject: The care of children in an institution by child care institutions under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Law Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the care of children in an institution by child care institutions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every child care institution carrying on the care of children in an institution shall make an application in Form VII to the District Court within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Sub-Registrar shall ensure that order of maintenance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Court within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
