STANDING ORDER

To

All Maintenance Officers,

Subject: The running of an old age home by keepers of an old age home under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of an old age home by keepers of an old age home.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of an old age home carrying on the running of an old age home shall make an application in Form I to the District Registrar within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Maintenance Officer shall ensure that order of maintenance is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Registrar within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
