OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The functions of a kazi by kazis under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Uttarakhand on the manner in which the functions of a kazi by kazis is to be regulated under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024.

2. The matter has been examined. Every kazi carrying on the functions of a kazi shall make an application in Form VII to the Registrar General within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the functions of a kazi is undertaken, and the Registrar General shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
