STANDING ORDER

To

All Circle Officers,

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Settlement Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that holding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Settlement Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
