STANDING ORDER

All Municipal Engineers,

Subject: The display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of advertisements shall make an application in Form D to the Town Planning Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Municipal Engineer shall ensure that register of properties is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Planning Authority within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat.
