STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020 (Telangana Act 9 of 2020), the General Administration Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Collector within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Telangana.
