OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on the manner in which the holding of land in excess of the ceiling by holders of land in excess of the ceiling is to be regulated under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Act, 1974.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land in excess of the ceiling carrying on the holding of land in excess of the ceiling shall make an application in Form 5 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land in excess of the ceiling is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
