OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a parking lot by operators of a parking lot under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the running of a parking lot by operators of a parking lot is to be regulated under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a parking lot carrying on the running of a parking lot shall make an application in Form H to the Corporation within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a parking lot is undertaken, and the Corporation shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
