STANDING ORDER
To
All Naib Tahsildars,
Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885 (Bihar Act 8 of 1885), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Collector within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Bihar.
