OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the holding of land by landholders is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
